Stuffed French Toast With Nutella and Bananas
Recipe type: Breakfast

Serves: 2-4

Ingredients
  • 8 slices of thin bread (Pepperidge Farm Very Thin Bread works great)
  • Nutella
  • one large banana, sliced thin
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
  1. Slather each slice of bread with nutella (to your liking). Put a layer of sliced bananas on 4 of the bread slices and then put together 4 Nutella/banana sandwiches.
  2. In a shallow, wide bowl beat together the eggs, milk, and cinnamon with a fork.
  3. Spray a large pan with cooking spray and heat over medium-low heat.
  4. Dip the sandwiches in the egg mixture to lightly coat each side, shake off the excess egg and place in the hot pan.
  5. Cook until both sides are firm and lightly browned.
Notes
If there's one thing I despise it's soggy French toast. Yuck. I was worried that regular bread would make this too thick to cook all the way through. It's a personal preference, but I decided to use Pepperidge Farm Very Thin bread. Although ridiculously thin on it's own, the bread made for a perfectly sized Nutella and banana sandwich.
